As part of our creative curriculum children in Hedgehogs' Class and Woodpeckers' Class dressed up and participated in a day of workshop activities based around the Great Fire of London and Romans respectively. These were excellent experiences enabling the children to participate in a wide variety of practical activities, enriching their knowledge and understanding of the Great Fire of London and Roman Times and how we find out about life in the past.
The children had an exciting and memorable outdoor and adventurous day at Harrold and Odell Country Park. They undertook team building activities and learned survival skills, including building shelters and fires and learning the craft of willow weaving.
Children in Squirrels' Class enjoyed a visit from local fossil experts who brought in a wide range of fossils, some 200million years old. The children enjoyed handling and sketching these amazing artefacts.
The children have produced some fantastic home tasks based on the dinosaur topic, 'Out of an Egg'.
